Join moms, dads, partners, and their families from all other the Indianapolis region as we shed light on maternal mental illness. Our COTD event will be taking place on August 17th, 2019 from 10AM-12PM at the Village of West Clay in Carmel, IN. Starting at 10:15AM, an honorary group walk will begin around the village to recognize those who have climbed to overcome maternal mental illness (depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD and psychosis). The walk will be under 1 mile in length, and will take place on a paved sidewalk that is stroller and wheelchair friendly. Afterwards, families are welcome to enjoy our local vendor booths, kid-friendly crafts, the nearby playground, or partake in picnics. There will also be fun giveaways and lots of surrounding shops and restaurants to explore after the event concludes! Please bring blankets or chairs for seating. :)
All funds raised by participants and sponsors of Team Indianapolis will benefit PSI Indiana. PSI Indiana provides training, workshops, and educational materials for health providers, moms, dads, and their families. PSI Indiana is a subsidiary non-profit of Postpartum Support International.
