Climb out of the Darkness Cleveland is a family friendly walk to raise awareness of maternal and paternal mental health issues and Perianatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) such as postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, postpartum OCD, postpartum psychosis, and prenatal depression or anxiety. Funds benefit Postpartum Support International, a nonprofit organization that provides education, awareness, online and telephone support, and linkaged to local resources for families. Postpartum Support International also directs funds back to state chapters of their organization providing a direct benefit back to local families. The walk will include refreshments, stories from survivors, and kid friendly activities.
Last year over 100 families came together and raised over $8,000 to slay stigma, shed light, and raise hope for mothers and fathers who are struggling with perinatal mental health issues. Let's take a stand for the mental health of Cleveland families! Join us on Sunday, June 23rd at 4pm to walk in honor of Cleveland families!
