The PSI Medical Provider Training is available as either a one-day onsite training, a 4.5 hour recorded webinar series, or a live virtual training for your group. The PSI Medical Provider training covers the following topics:
- Recognizing the different presentations of Perinatal Mental Health Disorders
- Screening Tools for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
- How to make an accurate diagnosis
- Psychopharmacological treatments including during Pregnancy and Lactation
- Evidence based non pharmacological treatments
- Case Studies
The training, provided by PSI’s experts Camille Arnaudo, MD, and Birdie Gunyon Meyer, RN, MA, PMH-C, is designed to equip frontline providers with the skills necessary to assess patients for perinatal mental health complications and, as appropriate, provide treatment or connect individuals with additional resources and care. Providers completing the training will receive CMEs or CEs.
Continuing Education Credits: 4.5 hrs
CNEs: Perinatal Mental Health Training for Frontline Providers (OCEAN ID #2018-5) has received OCEAN approval for up to 4.5 Contact Hours.
APA: Postpartum Support International (PSI) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Postpartum Support International (PSI) maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The webinar course provides 4.5 CE contact hours.
New York Psychologists: Postpartum Support International (PSI) is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Psychology as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed psychologists PSY 0298.
Occupational Therapists: PSI is an approved provider of CEUs by American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), Provider #11342. Social Workers: Postpartum Support International, #2361, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 4/11/2026-4/11/2029. Social workers completing this course receive 4.5 clinical continuing education credits.
