- Class #1, on February 16, will begin 30 minutes early with an orientation to course logistics and instructions (9:30 pacific/ 10:30 MT/ 11:30 Central; 12:30 ET)
- Classes #2 - #9 are live from 1pm-3pm EASTERN TIME, on Mondays. See the schedule below.
- All presentations are recorded and available to registered participants
- A Certificate of Completion is awarded to all attendees who view the whole course, whether through live sessions or by viewing the recordings and evaluating.
- Join live webinar classes, or view the recordings to receive a certificate of completion. No partial credit is given.
- Course includes recommended reading materials, resources, and optional small group discussions.
- Attendees can join small discussion groups for collaboration and study. Groups can meet by phone and are not mandatory but highly encouraged to enhance learning.
- Refunds are available if requested by February 10, 2026. After February 10, partial refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

SOCIAL WORKERS: Maternal Mental Health Certificate Course, #6482, is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by Postpartum Support International as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 9/9/2025 -9/9/2028. Social workers completing this course receive 18 continuing education credits.

CMEs: The AAFP has reviewed Postpartum Support International Maternal Mental Health Certificate Training for Mental Health and Clinical Professionals, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 02/16/2026 to 06/08/2026. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This session is approved for 18 AAFP Prescribed credits. AMA/AAFP Equivalency - Providers may choose to include the following in addition to the AAFP credit statement: AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. 8. Name 3 evidence-based models used to treat perinatal mood disorders.
9. Describe common therapeutic issues and themes in perinatal mental health.
10. Describe how trauma and loss influence perinatal mental health.
11. Describe 3-5 special considerations and identify how these considerations impact treatment of PMH.
12. Identify the role of cultural competence in identification and treatment of maternal depression.
13. Discuss the prevalence of depression and anxiety in new fathers
14. Describe common ways that mood disorders manifest in men
15. Describe effective methods to support partners.
16. Describe assessment for psychosis
17. Describe at least 4 concerns that women with severe mental illness have around motherhood.
18. Describe risks and benefits of psychopharmacological treatment in pregnancy and lactation
19. Identify resources for evidence-based data about medication during pregnancy and lactation
