Title: Addressing Microaggressions in Perinatal Mental Health
Session Outline:
- Definition of microaggression
- Examples of microaggressions
- How racial microaggressions perpetuate existing societal inequities
- Building capacity for individuals to address microaggressions with confidence and skill.
Objectives:
- Participants will be able to name 2 barriers to engaging with microaggressions when they occur.
- Participants will be able to name 3 harmful effects of harmful effects of microaggressions.
- Participants will be able to name and utilize 2 strategies/approaches to engaging with microaggressions.
