Hello friends, family, volunteers, and community members! I am the program coordinator for Moms Supporting Moms and a PSI Coordinator for North Carolina. Basically, I am lucky enough to spend my days helping new moms navigate a very challenging time, the postpartum period. I am also a survivor of postpartum anxiety. After the birth of my daughter in 2014, I lost control of my mind and body. I had panic attacks for the first time in my life. I felt a sense of dread every morning. My body buzzed with anxiety. I couldn't sleep or eat. While I loved my daughter so much, I hated living in my body. Through my partner's support, I sought out support and found Moms Supporting Moms. This peer-to-peer support was vital to my recovery. Moms Supporting Moms is women empowering other women. I am so honored to help facilitate that happening. BUT, we need your support to keep it happening. Your donation will help us pay for our phone support line, our outreach materials, new mom packets of information, postpartum planning classes, and journals for our moms.
