I was complimented on being such a go-getter after having my son. What I couldn't say was how much that "go-getting" was fueled by postpartum anxiety. I didn't have the words for it and once I found them, I didn't want to fail at moming, so I kept on going. The more I learned, and as I began to find healing, I decided while it is common we do not have to suffer through it alone. I want to help others find their way through something I felt silenced by. 

Join us on September 14, 2019, for Sioux Falls' first Climb out of the Darkness 5k event! We will host a 5k walk/run (untimed), have other family-friendly activities, and several giveaway prizes. My hope is that through this event we are able to increase awareness, enhance services, and honor the moms, dads, and families who have fought through what has been described as "one of life's most unkind illnesses." Your participation means so much to me personally and will have a great impact on our community! Looking forward to seeing you there!
