Hello Mothers and Families Planning to Participate in this Saturday's COTD!!!  Our walk at the West Hartford Reservoir (Climb Out of the Darkness West Hartford) will begin with announcements and reflections at 9am in the main parking lot by the main trail entrance at MDC on Farmington Avenue in West Hartford.  Here is a link to the map MDC Trail Map.  Balloons will be placed at entrance to guide you.  PSI CT materials will be available. Amanda Salvo and Jen Vendetti are the Climb leaders.  We will ask everyone to sign in and share their email if you would like future communications from PSI CT.  We will have bottled water, fruit and granola bars!  Strollers are most welcome and the trail is super easy to navigate with strollers.  Please wear Blue if you are able (any shade is fine).  Please text, call or email me with any last-minute questions.

Dear parents, providers, friends and advocates,

This is my third year participating in Postpartum Support International's Climb Out of the Darkness.  As many of you know, I have been dedicated to addressing maternal mental health complications through my work in Nurturing Families UConn Health and my volunteer work with PSI CT.  It is imperative that we continue to raise awareness about the impact of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders so that prevention and treatment are available to every family during pregnancy, postpartum and early parenting.  Please come to the West Hartford Reservoir on Saturday June 22, 2019 at 9am for the Climb Out of the Darkness West Hartford event.  It is not necessary to donate to the Climb to participate!  I would rather see you and walk with you than have a donation but of course you are most welcome to donate in lieu of or in addition to participating in the walk.
