SUPPORT COLIN GATEWOOD IN BRINGING AWARENESS TO MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH

Thank you for viewing my fundraiser page for this year's Climb Out of the Darkness. I hold an executive committee position on the board of the Georgia Chapter of Postpartum Support International. You may also know, I am a survivor of postpartum depression and anxiety - undiagnosed and untreated because PSI GA was not around 10 years ago to promote awareness, educate providers and advocate for healthcare for moms. 

On the longest day of the year, Saturday, June 22, I will participate for the third year in the "Climb Out of the Darkness®" -- the world’s largest event raising awareness of maternal mental illnesses like pregnancy or postpartum depression and anxiety. 

Last year more than 430 people across 13 climb locations in Georgia raised $22,031 dollars, leading the way in the total number of funds raised around the world. This year, our plan is to double that and raise more than $40K!

100% of the funds raised go directly to promote awareness, prevention, and treatment of maternal mental health issues in the state of Georgia, all through programs that I am personally involved in helping to implement in our state.
