My name is Michelle Anastasio-Festi and I suffered from severe postpartum depression, PTSD and anxiety immediately following the tramautic birth of my son Ethan. I am getting stronger each day with the help of an amazing therapist, life coach and doctors through BlueSky Behavioral Health. However, I do know my journey through PPD is not over and I'm convinced there's a greater purpose for me. I am looking to support Postpartum Support International to raise awareness through their "Climb Out of the Darkness" event, which will help provide resources to the community, expectant moms, and moms who already gave birth and are going through PPD/PPA. Please consider my story and supporting this wonderful cause.
Time/Place
The local chapter event will take place at the West Hartford Reservoir on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 9 am. All are welcome to walk for this important cause and you are also welcome to donate in lieu of or in addition to participating in the walk.
Postpartum Support International's Climb Out of the Darkness is the world's largest event for raising awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, while raising money and building community.
