Hi everyone,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for The Climb Out of Darkness. As many of you know, I recently shared my experience with PPD/PPA and have received so much positive support that I am eternally grateful for. I have also been outreached by mommas in my tribe who have struggled, are still struggling, and/or are wondering if they need more support. Through this vunerability I have felt a true sense of empowerment and now want to turn my positive energy into advocacy for maternal mental health. By completing this walk and raising some money is the beginning of my journey into recovery. I am asking if you would be so generous to donate any amount to this cause.
This walk is to help increase awareness, decrease stigma, and raise crucial funds for programs and services for new moms in our area. This walk will symbolize the climb that many new mothers face as they battle postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, and other perinatal mood disorders. Your donation will help new mothers suffering from perinatal mood disorders know that they are not alone, and that healing is possible. Proceeds will benefit Postpartum Support International (PSI) and First Connections in Acton, MA.
