Anyone who knows me knows that Blake's birth didn't go as planned. We had a lot of mountains to climb just to bring him home with us. Once he was home, I was back in the hospital. It has been difficult trying to accept this traumatizing event that was supposed to be much different. Blake is about to turn 1, we are so thankful for the healthy, wonderful, loving and silly boy he is. Along the way as I've been working through some negative emotions regarding my experience, I met some wonderful people and found out that I wasn't alone in having a difficult birth, struggling through the first year of being a mom and trying to balance my feelings of disappointment with the joy I feel being Blake's mom. Please consider donating to this cause that has become so important to me.
