After both babies were born, I experienced postpartum anxiety. The truth is, it's hard to tell where "regular" anxiety ends and where postpartum begins,  but it's not normal to have panic attacks when your husband takes your baby for a car ride without you.

Anxiety never goes away, but awareness and mindfulness help me to either find a way to function through it or ask for help.

There are women out there who probably think they're bad mothers, or if they're like me, think they're socially inept because it seems like everyone else has it " figured out". Instead of shaming or pretending this isn't an issue, let's shine a light on postpartum depression and anxiety, so no one feels they need to suffer in silence.
