All of us knows or is a person who gave birth to a baby. Alongside the immense joy of parenthood often comes uncomfortable feelings and many parents don’t have access to the support they need to manage this transformation. Mood disorders are the most common complication of pregnancy and suicide is the second leading cause of death for mothers in the first year postpartum. Parents deserve support as they navigate their new role, meet the demands of their babies, and deal with the unpredictable physical changes of pregnancy and postpartum.
